Chapter 8
“Rory, Rory.” I heard Sasha’s gentle whisper above me.
I slowly opened my eyes to see his deliciously long-lashed sapphire blues streaming into mine. He was shirtless, and propping himself over me with his elbows. He balanced on one arm so he could brush the hair out of my eyes. His locks were a wavy, wild sexy mess. Mmmm, what a wonderful way to wake up. I felt the tip of his hardening penis on my inner thigh and instinctively bent my knees and spread my legs.
“Nope,” he said, quickly jumping off the bed and throwing the covers completely down to expose my nakedness.
It was cold. I instinctively crossed my arms over my chest and crossed my legs. “Hey!”
“Sorry,” he said, “but you insisted I wake you up at six. It’s already six fifteen. Come on, sweet, time to rise and shine.”
Ugh, yes, Monday morning. I needed to start spending weekend nights here. I had to be at work in two hours. Crap. I quickly sat up and when I did, got an immediate rush of pain to my head. Then I remembered the champagne I drank—three glasses, as it ended up—the most absolutely amazing sex I’d ever had, multiple goes at it, until the bubbles melted and the water grew so cold we had to leave that glorious tub, making our way to his throne of a bed where there was more champagne, more toe-curling, scream-inducing sex.
I had no idea what hell awaited me at the office. Well, with Gunther as a boss it could be hell or it could be absolutely nothing. I guess I did have to go in and find out. Though how I wanted to stay here. “Okay. Thank you,” I groaned, forcing myself to get completely up. I stood in front of him naked, as he stood before me, the same. We were both so groggy. But that wily smile of his slowly began to spread across his face.
“Stop it! Don’t make me want to call in sick again!” I shouted, pawing at his face.
“I did absolutely nothing of the sort!” He laughed. “You stop it!” He took my pawing hand and slowly began to kiss it, licking each of my fingers.
I closed my eyes, getting lost in the sensation, wanting badly to spend my day with this man instead of moody, angry Gunther.
Suddenly Sasha stopped. “Come on, it’s getting late. Gunther may have you work on the case you like so much today, with the innocent client.”
Oh yes, I hoped so. That would definitely be a fulfilling day.
He laughed. “Your face completely changed expression. You have this excited look about you now.”
My mind-reading man.
“Thank you for the motivation. You know me well,” I gushed, taking his arms and wrapping them around my back. “Promise me we’ll pick up tonight where we left off,” I said, giggling, nuzzling my nose and lips into the silky skin of his chest. I needed one last whiff of his oaky, musky, cinnamon-y scent and one final feel of those rock hard, protective pecs to keep me hopeful throughout the day.
